Albums


Lil wayne 1st solo debut album was "Tha Block is Hot" two years after leaving Hot Boyz. His album reached double platnium and made its way up to #3 on BillBoard album charts. His second album "Lights Out" didn't blow up as much as "Tha Block is Hot." Critics said that Wayne's lyrics and language was still immature and that he should work on that. His third album "500 Degreez" just like "Lights Out" didn't achieve as much fame as "Tha Block is Hot." In the summer of 2004 Wayne released " Tha Carter" This album showed how his lyrics advanced. "Tha Carter" got Wayne his recognition of how he is looked at now and sold one million copies in one week. His follow up Album "Tha carater II" released in december 2005 Tha Carter II sold more than 238,000 copies in its first week, debuting at #2 on the Billboard Top 200 albums chart, and went on to sell 2,000,000 copies world wide. "Tha CarterII" had many hits such as "Fireman, Hustlers Muzik, and Shooter. "Tha Carter III" was Waynes biggest success with it selling one million copies in one week. He had many hits and tops tracks on this album such as Lollipop, Got money, Comfortable and a millie. Wayne is currently working on his first rock album "Rebirth" so far it's been going well with the release of "Prom Queen" it peaked # 15 of of 100 on the billboards and his other release "Hot Revolver" which reached # 33 on top 100 billboards.
